Amsoil Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Tranny Fluid okay to use in the RX8's tranny?
My friend got three quart of Amsoil Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Tranny Fluid lying around in his garage. It was supposed to be for his manual civic but he traded it in. I'm wondering if this will do for the RX8's (not so robust) transmission.
I tried searching the whole name but didn't come up with any results concerning this specific fluid.
Here is a link to the oil. According to my friend, it is 5w-30.

Got me a little worried when I read this thread:

Go with Redline MT 90. It's the only MT fluid that hasn't caused anyone problems. Anything else people have tried has been hit or miss at best. Royal Purple's transmission fluid has nearly a 100% tranmission failure rate.
$20 for 2 quarts of Redline MT90. Can't go wrong with it.

Sorry, I more meant that I wouldn't mess with any other fluid. It might work, but when there is a proven alternative for so cheap, I wouldn't risk messing around with it. It's not worth the cost of a new transmission.

This is the stuff you would want to use in the tranny if you are going with Amsoil:

I've also heard many good things about this stuff if you have the money:

You can get the Motorcraft stuff at Ford dealers.

That's what i've done.
The guy that sold me this transmission washed its interiors with naphtha\diesel oil because it had been sitting for a long time. I did run on crap lubricant for less than 1000km, then swapped another time with what i was using before (shell transaxle oil ) and then mt90.
I don't know why i have that lame grinding in 3rd though.

i ran amsoil synthetic for a few months. the transmission felt notchy with it and i went back to oem stuff.
my expirence with RL and RP showed a vast improvement with the feel vs oem (issues with RP several years later aside).
