Verify that the plug wires are securely attached at both ends. Also check the battery cables as they may have disconnected the negative cable during testing and didn't reinstall it tightly enough. I suppose that the wires/cable could be loose and arcing giving off an electrical smell. If the smell persists, you should take it back in for a check.

They updated the PCM, but I also know that they had to recharge my battery for some reason. I had to reset everything the radio & clock when I picked it up yesterday evening. I called the service manager and he said the smell may just be from the flooding. Hmmmmm......
I'll definitely check the cables though. Thanks!

Not sure why they would have to charge the battery, unless they are powering their WDS from the battery, but they obviously disconnected a cable at some point. What you describe is what happens when you lose power from the battery.
I would suggest that you monitor the odor to see if it eventually goes away. If it doesn't clear up in a few days, take it back to the dealer. Good luck!

I had that same smell as well for about 3 days after they updated my pcm, for a drop in my mileage. But yes if it does linger longer then 2 weeks or so i wuold have it checked out... But that was my experience in the smell.
