Anyone running without an OMP?
Just wondering if anyone is running pure premix, no OMP?
I'm currently running the Sohn adapter and considering removing the OMP altogether and sticking to premix.
I know I could probably just leave the OMP on and just unplug it, but I was wondering if anyone ripped the whole thing out and if so, how you sealed everything up (just gasket, sheet metal and screws?) and if you ran into any problems.

I know you would get codes and I am pretty sure your car would run in limp mode. There is a guy working on something like this do to the location of his Turbo to the factory OMP location. Search for his thread.

I dont know where but I read that it is better to use the OMP. If you only run pre mix, you only get oil when the injectors are firing. So imagine what is happening when you let off the throttle at 9K RPM. Yep thats right, no fuel so no oil either.

Removal of the OMP will generate a limp mode/code that you cannot override with the AccessPORT or any other flashing tool.
The OMP must be present and plugged in, even if it is not functioning.
GTAW is working with a deletion.
And no load as well. The residual oil is probably plenty.
That said, I don't really understand the point of deleting the OMP - it works and if it is i the way of your FI fabrication, hire a better, more imaginative fabricator.

one thing i dont like about not having the omp----is during high load/high rpm--you let off the gas and very little lubrication is getting to the seals.
This is like on track use or mountain driving---idle amount of premix going in but engine is at a much higher rpm.
I agree with Dan--let pre mix be a supplement.

Didn't think it would cause this many issues as it's a popular mod with 7s.
