Approved for new engine!

I would just like to say how excited I am that I got approved for a new engine today.

I Got the compression test done at 98k miles on my 2004 and when it failed I was told upfront that it might not be a possibility due to the intake and the lack of a cat, but ultimately I didnt have to beg or do anything to get this replacement. I also didnt get asked for any maintenance receipts (although I have a ton).

I would just like to say thanks to sellars-sexton mazda/ford right outside of Fort Leonard Wood because I am positive that it was Regina from this dealership that made it so hassle free for me.

98K and new engine, good job.

They should know 2004 and 2005 are the most "messed up" group so yea they should give us all(Im 2005) new engine no questions asked.

well i mean they did give me an engine no questions ask. and mine died much earlier than yours. I mean yea it failed compression but it did work no flooding whatsoever.

Good Dealership & People (Kevin) + I did enter all my records into Mazda's system, including all my oil change and yep I'm the ridiculous kind of people who did a lot of 1K oil change. LOL

Grats! I am at 88k.... gonna hold out til around November if I am not near the high 90s or until I hit the high 90s before I get a compression test performed. Which ever comes first.

Make sure you check your date of purchase to because an early bought 04 that was purchased in 03 might be up sooner than that.

Yeah like mines up in august, but the new engines are kind of scary. I have heard multiple stories them not lasting 20K.

if your engine fail compression test i dont see why not. Its going to fail anyway, might as well give it a shot. Right?

When my engine compression tester comes(same one that big names like knight sports use), i will test mine right away.

What tester are you getting. I think I may have to pick one up to keep tabs on this new engine, along with a few other mods for engine stability

the tester I'm getting cost almost 1K. you sure you want that ?

Reason I got that because its from the company that made Mazda's compression test tool, just without Mazda's "name" stamp on it for cheaper. and most if not all big aftermarket rotary shop in Japan use it (Knight Sports, Fujita-Engineering, etc) + I already have 2 Rotary car + planning to get FD and FC TII and the next Rotary car in the future ... so it might be "worth it" for me, but not for most people.

it took me a while to find it and talk to the manager there, who barely speaks English and finally "talk" him out to sell me one. I'm just waiting for my funds to come then I'm going to get it from him. Takes couple of weeks.
