My new 8
build date 06/03 has a sticker under the hood that says

Autherizd Modifactions

campaign # 1064b
dealer code 42063

does any one know what this is?
what is the modifaction ??

probably either the airbag or dynamic dampener recall

with a build date of 6/03 it could also be the port work that was done. the cat longevity tune that was done at the ports and/or the dipstick replacement.

ok i found out it was the air bag.. but this means that i still need the heat shield , new oil pan, and the ecu flash. right ?
and are they going to send me a letter telling me to take it in for all of this ?

ps- anyone know the heat shield tsb number?

The heat shield is a recall. It is #1704B.

i have only the 1604 b sticker.. so mine still needs the shield cause its in that vin series... but could the dealer let me take it off there lot if so ?

the oli pan issue is talked about here as well.. they replace a sensor to stop givving fals oil levle readings

this says its a recall.. the dampner issue.. Mine does not have this mod sticker .. should i be concerned
