Back To Stock

I was just wondering what do you think the dealership would charge me to take off my Racing Beat intake and put my stock intake back on. I put the Intake in myself and really don't want to do all that work again. I love the Intake I just want to go back to stock on everything.

Depends, if you have the original Air Intake. Take it to a mazda shop (not the dealer) should do it for under 100.00. If not, you be charged a new intake system plus labor at the dealer which would be way expensive.

why are you going back to stock?

mac11: not everyone can be an uber mechanic such as yourself For some people, it acutally take 2-3 hours (like the instructions say)

I'm going back to stock because I think I'm goin to sale the RX-8, I love the car but i just got a promotion and i'm in the market of buying a 03-04 Cobra.

And it's not like it was hard to install just time consuming, and when you work 68 hours a week it's hard to find time to take your bumper off and deal with all that stuff.

congratulations on the promotion! I say leave it in when you sell it, I'm sure the new owner would appreciate a good intake and you save yourself the hassel of removing it.

Ask a member in your area. Pay them a few bucks.

Much cheaper than dealer.

you will loose money if you pay them.
