A Bad excuse?
Today I was told by the Mazda representative I would have to wait a little longer for my engine replacement. I was told they are waiting on a part that is on back order. That part is the “injectors”. I had asked the rep “what injectors are you talking about there are many different kinds on this engine”. He of course could not tell me. Has anyone else herd of any sort of injectors being on back order?
I asked how the injectors coming from a remanufactured engine could be bad. I was told the injectors from the last engine were reused and found to be bad. My guess would be they broke something injectors or otherwise. I don’t know. As long as it gets done right and I am not charged for these parts I am cool with whatever they want to do.

You should have went to North Park bro. I thought the remans came with new injectors but i could be wrong. You need to clarify with the member here who works at the reman plant (can't remember his name dude.)

when i bought my first reman it didn't come with anything but the block itself. and the only things attached to the block are the crank, water pump, and oil pan.
sounds like they fucked up the injectors during removal. you better look over the invoice when they're finished! but yea, injectors wouldn't be in stock. it's not something they replace on a daily routine.

For all I know it could have been something to do with oil injection..... If I had to make a wild Guess I would say they broke one of the fuel injectors during the deinstall as they were quick to figure this out. As long as I do not get charged for the part I dont mind. I am putting miles on someone elses car for now.
So I was kinda told this a week ago but not in such detail. All knew was they had to order another part, this was on Tuesday. I was told today the details and that they would get the part in in a week. This seems like an awfully long time to get a part in.
Meah Whatever. As long as it gets done. I'm not stressing.

back order parts can be a bitch. The dealer wont even know when they'll get more usually.
They aren't going to overnight parts for warranty work either.
I wouldn't worry about it. Actually telling you something got broken is better then "it's not done yet"

Yeah I really do think something was broken for sure. I have read alot of sleepy's posts. I really dont have any questions for him. I think this place doing the work is only 3/4s bad and are telling me the truth that the reman did not come with injectors. Of course they would never never ever say hey man we broke a fuel injector during the uninstall and had to order another one..... but once again as long as I do not get charged for it I really dont care.
So back on track...... any idea what the heck could take so long to get an injector? I would think it would take no longer the five days to procure such things in a well connected dealer network.
On another note I know other cars have problems with the injectors breaking where the connectors plug into them over use and years. How bout our 8s. Is this a common thing?

the short blocks come with nothing.. it is all transferred..
mine did come with a new flywheel, and h2o pump. that is all.. everything else is transferred..
now how they broke a fuel injector is an very odd question..

I cannot be certain they broke the injector. All I was told was "the injector is not working we had to order a new one". Of course this is coming from the same guy that said they needed to take my top end apart and have a look before they could honor the warranty work.
