beginrer's question in how prevent flooding

I have been reading a lot in prevent flooding your engine. I know that we should not start the engine cold and the shut if off before it reaches at normal operating temperature. Here is the beginners/ dumb question: Do the injectors supply gas in to the engine if you have the key at AC position? How about if you have the key at On position but you don’t crank the engine? I am wondering since during my lunch breaks I usually go to my car and turn the key on AC so that I can listen to the radio and sometimes I have to turn the key in On position so that I can lower my windows then turn it back to AC. By the way I am still on the market for a silver 8. Hopefully I should have a deal sometime this month. Your response is appreciated.

no, the injectors won't fire when the engine is at zero rpm.

I think the best way to avoid flooding the car is to stop worrying that it's going to flood.

I think going to extroadinary lengths to avoid flooding is just going to mean you're not doing something naturally and thus will be more likely to flub it up.

For me, if I'm going to move the car (and it's cold) a short distance my preventative measure is to drive it around the block once before I park it. By the temp gauge is just getting up to the "C" mark by that time and I'm happy enough that the engine's no longer stone cold. That's it for me for any of the rotaries that I may want to take a short distance.

Oh yeah - and like wakeech said - if the engine's not running, the injectors won't be firing (especially so if you're only on the ACC position - then the fuel pump isn't even running).
