Forced Induction is the only way to get noticeable gains on any RX-8.

Also, prepare to get flamed to all hell, that's the same question every single newbie who doesn't search first asks.

dude sorry to bust your bubble, but you aint gonna get SQUAT from just an intake and exhuast...the ONLY way to get A LOT more power is to go FI, supercharger or turbo....

as for N/A, your gonna need a good tune using the AP, + intake, exhuast, midpipe, to free up some ~10 HP...other than that, your best bet is getting some lighter rims and stickier tires...

I'm curious as hell.........you said you took the front of you airbox off.....what exactly does that mean? Has it been that long since I've seen a stock airbox?????

I think he means the bottom part not the part you see when lookiing in the bottom part! I'm not positive though

To the OP exhaust are not an arm and a leg unless u consider 300-700 an arm and a leg however there are plenty of exhaust over 1k bucks anyway as said above FI is teh best way to go(however will cost u your life at LEAST 3K for used) you could always do the stock airbox DIY knock out the inside of the cat! things like that

Nitrous would be cheaper then a turbo and would produce noticeable gains, but will still cost more then a proper intake.

From what I've heard from people who are smarter then me, the airbox is pretty well designed for high flow. Intakes just change the sound of the engine.

Yeah, I was thinking of swapping my renny for the 6-cylinder rotary .

I hear that they added Vtec to it.
