Bonnet insulator
Hi all
I have to get some dents taken out of my bonnet and to do this I need to remove my bonnet insulator.
I had a quick look at the plastic clips and they look like a one way affair to me. Anyone had them off and can tell me how tight they were to get out?
Cheers

Just cut them off and go to your local auto parts store and get new ones. should only cost a couple bucks. they are just plastic clips. Pulling them out in a condition to save them is more luck than skill.

Thought as much.
Wish they were like the scrivets holding the wheel well mud guards in place, would be easier.
Did not want to have to take it off, but company that do my dents say they may have to to gain access. I am sure they will try first through many holes around the side of the bonnet.
cheers

well there is an inner skeleton to the bonnet. They won't gain much access to the asthetic outer skin with just the fire blanket removed. Let me go check and see if I have a hood in my garage here or if they have all been moved to the shop. If I've got one Ill get you a pic of the underside.

Cheers for trying.
you maybe right. I would much rather not go to the trouble of taking them off if it for no greater access.
If anyone has pics of bonnet without insulator, it would be greatly appreciated.
