Break in mileage – 600 or 100 miles.
From what I’ve read in the manual, it specifies break milage at 600 miles and 1000 km I believe. Now most of what I’ve read here states 1000 miles. Is there a reason everyone goes with the 1000? Just want to make sure I’m not missing something.
Oh yeah, please tell me quick. If it’s not 600 miles, I need to know as I’m at 500 and ready to cut it loose! :D

If you read your manual it says allow 600 miles for break in but it also says that the rotary engine does not require a break in period. Most people wait til 1000 miles just to be safe. I myself im at 600 and I wont push it too many times, but I have taken it to the red line :-D

Hi,
My dealers technician, who has a lot off experience with the RX7, told me not to "break in" as in the manual.
I just follow one rule, dont get into the red revs.
My motor runs very well, the MPG for this moment is a bit higher.
