A/C Refrigerant line replacement???
I've found a hole in one of my AC lines that runs along the passenger side from the firewall to the pipe connected to the condenser. Has anyone ever replaced this before with an OEM replacement and how difficult was it? It it possible to use refrigerant rated hosing to replace the metal line?
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance.

If it's in the line replace. You can use sealer for like o-rings but this prob not a good idea. Try to find salvage if you want to save cash otherwise $$$. You need to evac, replace hose & o-rings (properly lubed with o-ring lube), torque to spec. Recharge.

just find yourself a totaled car at a junk yard, or buy the proper parts and do it correctly. It will give you a chance to insulate the line, like the factory should have, and have a better running ac.

if you have a leak you will have lost refrigerant, and you probably need some to be charged back into the system, otherwise the system wont work quite right.. you'd need to recover the refrigerant, and replace the pipe and re-charge it.

You need a specialty tool to remove that line. Download a copy of the FSM and look under page 17 in the HVAC section. I cant access the online manual at the moment. otherwise I would have posted that for you.
Good luck.
