Congratulations!

I have researched this topic when a friend of mine from B.C. was buying his car... stop by any Canadian Tire store and ask them. They act as inspection centers and they may be able to do the necessary modification for a reasonable amount of money.

Here's a couple of links that will help:

How to import a vehicle into Canada
New cars from US up to 30% cheaper (cost to import under $200)

Don't let Crappy Tire do any actual work on your car. Only let them do the inspection.

Can't you just turn the headlight stalk to the first position? On my car that turns the two little lights on without turning on the main lights.

I went to canafian tire and there DTRl kit is only like 20$ and i looked at it and its just some wires and your sposed to wrap the wire around the spark plus so wen it gets a spark the lights turn on.... soooo cheap lol. i ended up buying another kit that hardwires the lights from lordco that i got for wholesale for 89$ installing it tonight, ill tell ya all how it goes

it is hard to understand what you are saying. perhaps you need to use more commas and periods.

sorry i just got my tonsels out and am still pretty drugged up
the kit from lordco was weird so i decided not to use it.
I just hooked the fog lights up to turn on when the key is turned. I'm only going to leave it this way until my inspection is done then re-wire them to be independant of the low beams
