Car flooded Mazda Fixy

So I joined the flooded club this week. Had it towed to the dealer ALA Mazda Roadside Assistance for Free. Mazda deflooded it, replaced the plugs, battery and starter for FREE! All covered under warranty. I have an 04 8. The thing starts like it never did before. Its's Great. The only problem, I THINK they put a dent in my car on the windshield frame. Anyway, Orange Mazda in Albany NY. They get a thumbs up! If anyone is in there area and needs anything, ask for Ken, he is the Mazda Service Manager. Just wanted to express my excitment for my new starter.

ken is a good guy, he is really good with the service. I was trying to get them to change those things for hard starts, but they wouldnt because they could not replicate it. Hmmmm... How can i get those goodies.

Flood your car and get it towed there. That should do it.

All I did to get the new parts was tell the dealership that I had few hard starts and the parts just rolled my way.

I also want to get the Hard start upgrade. My dealer wants to have it sit overnight in the cold. It hasn't been cold. Guess I'll wait until next year.

I have an AEM CAI installed. Do you think they would object to to that as far as fixing my hard starts?

So an update, I go in to get my summer wheels and oil change. And Ken (from orange mazda) was asking about how the car was doing since i made a complaint about the hard start. I mentioned that it was still occuring, and what do you know, he was telling me about the fixes for it. I wasnt even planning to ask but he made the initiative on making sure the car was running right, with out having to try and mimic it. A+ in my book.

So now i am just waiting for the parts to come in. I believe at the time when i asked, the bulletin just came out and it was not known as well.

The funny part is i mentioned that his name was brought up in the forum and he went to check it out. He actually sent me a PM about the fixes for the hard start issue and to give him a call, not knowing that it was already being handled.

Great service

I got the new starter yesterday after a complaint of slow starts to my dealer. My god is this a radical change. I just flick the key to start and it does.. no more holding it until it sputters to life!

I finally get to join the masses and enjoy the new starter on my 8. I must say it is quit different and quick too. Almost a higher tone when starting.
