title pretty much says it all.

it sounds weird.

it may be related to my idle issues, i dont know. any thoughts? it appears to be coming from the engine bay.

my car has been acting odd lately... i think it may be time for a dealership visit.

It might be one of these

But seriously, do you think it might be coming from the intake? where in the engine bay?

Does it sound like a wind noise? Like a low whistle?

That's the sound mine makes when it's cold out. It doesn't seem to matter whether I have it in gear or not, but it happens mostly when I'm coasting and goes away as soon as I apply the brakes.

cold tranny fluid? what fluid are you running?

I notice with my redline shockproof heavy that cold winter days cause it to whistle until the trans fluid gets up to temp.

Just kind of a wwwwwwwwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrr. Type sound? no frequency changes? Mine does this too I had deduced the secondary air pump may be getting some high resistance, but still seems to be working. So I haven't fixed it yet.

Well, then, now's the time to ask: what's the car do with an air pump? Why would the noise stop when I apply the brakes?

air pump only pumps air into the exhaust, for emissions, note we dont have a pre cat like most cars. only does this when its cold and the car is just started.
