nah its all good im just extremely mad how the dealer is treating me I took it in like 3 weeks ago for this same complaint and they blew it off while it was in there and now I take it back and now they tell me I have to wait until Friday to do anything to it cause they have other people in line. I think they should blow them off the same way they blew me off in the first place and to make matters worse its the only dealer here in Tulsa.......

well just got off the phone with the service MANAGER. He was being a complete *** to me. I asked him why he wouldn't check my car out when I brought the car in the first time he told me that I had a check engine light and that had to be addressed first before anything else could be done. Then I would have to have the "lack of power" bulletin done which involved the zoom cleaner and they would take it out to test the car and see if symptoms still occurred if they did then it would go into tech line and that I would be looking at about month out for an engine and that they won't cover rental cost at all. I told him I have heard that it is covered thats when he said I quote "I dont care what you have heard, there are procedures and if you want to listen to those misinformed people online that is your own business" so now what am I supposed to do I can't afford to pay for a rental for a month while I wait for mazda and I see how this dealer is going to treat me and now I have a totally unreliable car sitting in my driveway I cant count on to get me to work. Please someone help me.

Mazda

Call mazda your self while sitting in the lobby of the dealer.... Im sure you will get further that way.. At least that what I did... I did good on that transaction but They lied to my girl the next time the car went in for flooding.. they made her pay for a battery and Didnt give her the old one.. So I never could see what the issue with the car was.... im sure it was flooded........ I have never returned to that dealer agian.... And I bought the car from them with 0 miles on it...

He is following procedures. You do not get a free rental. One of your friends has an extra car they are not using. You are junming to conclusions. Let the dealer do the job correctly.

Edit: By the way.. do you think you are the President and have your car looked at now?

why should I pay for them to make guesses as to whats wrong and no guarantee they will find it though why should I be guranteed to pay and them not guarantee me anything for months

EDit for your edit: No but I think if you bring a car in with a problem and they dont look at it, don't talk to you about it, dont call you when its done and make you wait an extra to get your car back for an oil change I think they should be alittle more understanding as to why you are upset and not trusting of them

You never said they were gussing. It's not in your posts. All you mentioned was a procedure. There are procedures to follow when determing problems. The dealer is following procedures, not guessing.

Your over reacting again.

yeah "procedures" to me it sounds like guessing since I have brought this car in three times for lack of power complaints and now it is to the point of dying on me. Those previous times they did their "procedures" charged me for a bunch of stuff that "fixed" it but never did and now it has gotten worse.

to the OP, shawn at NP is really great bout taking care of his 8 owners, your 8 will be in good hands. I had to have a new engine dropped in my 05 8, and then again in my 06 8. it sucked to have to deal with it, but its a minor nuisance compared to randomly dying on the expressway (which i did several times while driving, just random engine failure, and it was scary as hell and infuriating).
i'm in SA too, and trust NP with my shinka, and no one else. let us know how it goes!!

Razz please dont take me the wrong way I know you are only trying to help but this dealer has been jacking with me charging me stuff that I don't feel they have done and they are wanting to do this again. They claim all this stuff and what not and I dont see the results they claim. Now I am still taking it in friday so they can look at it but if Mazda covers the OP's rental car why wouldnt they cover mine? I dont understand that at all I will figure something out but I got this car cause my NA RX7 which I loved and miss dearly(shouldn't have sold it) was the most reliable car I had and I owned several honda's before it. I wanted a newer car so I bought this car used which I figured would be just as reliable. I have taken it to the dealer for everything done to this and I dont know how to feel about my current situation. I know I may have to drive quite a ways to work sometimes and if I dont have a reliable car to get me to work I cant make payments on the car, my house, insurance, ect and I am feeling anxiety kicking in. So sorry if I was coming off as an ***

Went to Advance to get my check engine light checked and it pulled these codes in this order... P0301,P0420,P0171,P0420(pending). One was Bank 1 running lean, misfire cylinder 1 I think it said and the other was catalytic converter efficiency low
