Please give us the history on your car. The service it's had parts replaced. Type of driving it gets(long commutes, short trip), fuel used(reg or prem), ever flooded, mods installed. Just any thing that you can add.

Sorry i was very unmotivated yesterday. History is basic. always oil changed at 3k, always premium, new sparks wires coils less than 10k ago, had a whole custom fuel system done when nitrous was installed, other than that mods are exhaust straight pipe, de walled intake, and other things that would not effect it. also the nitrous has nothing to do with it as it hasn't been used in over 2 months.
And i mean the starter is working by saying its cranking. but the car just will not start, it acts like it wants to, much like my beater does if it's low on gas, but it just wont start.

Well then, the typical checks:
Presuming it's the mid-'05 build upgraded starter it could be:
Battery - have it load tested, not just instantaneous 12v.
Coils - do the inductive (timing light) and resistive tests (ohmmeter) in the TSB (I've already linked it twice in the past couple days).
Cables - the inductive test will minimally prove out connectivity.
'plugs - replace
Alternator - check for ~14v output with engine running (problematic for you at present)
But as you indicated new coils/wires/'plugs then it would have to be battery or starter. Have someone jumpstart you or attempt a push start if M/T.
edit: gosh I've written the same thing a ton of late. Can't anyone SEARCH???

It may be a new battery, but if your alternator is shot it hasn't been recharging, therefore a load test.
The starter may be spinning, but if not fast enough ... therefore check if it is the upgraded.
Why not a push start? Automatic?
Still try a jump start, just to eliminate that variable.
Geneally when requesting advice it's best to first give the details of your vehicle (year, A/T vs. M/T, etc.). If you're not motivated, how can you expect us to be???

No I tried the push start. no luck...then had the fun of pushing it back up the hill into the driveway. And it's not the alt because it's been charging and every thing works fine, headlight still bright when i turn them on. The last thing on my list is the starter. So I'm having my shop take it in. I've been thinking about getting one because it's seemed like it's been taking longer to start up, but thats just the past few weeks. So thats probably what it is. and i said i was unmotivated last night, when it happened. anyways its a 04 with 60k, mt. base model.

Also to add. The car has only been flooded once. by a mechanic...who i then had to tell how to fix it...what a dumb ***. But as im calming down now, now being as mad, it seems most likely to be my starter, as it hasn't been replaced since i've owned it, 30k, and im not sure if the original owner did.

I hear ya, when you're in the heat of [automotive mechanical] battle ...
Do have the starter evaluated, after you check the serial number to determine if it is the old or new model.
Here: I'll paste it one more time
There was a TSB that freely upgraded the starter and battery on all '04's and early '05's, but since the B-to-B warranty is up for that group it's no longer available.
The germane TSB was 01-004/05 dtd 12/1/2005 "Engine Cranks No Start" (note that later editions of this TSB did not discuss the new starter and battery, for the aforementioned reason). I don't have a softcopy, but from my hardcopy: ~"if the VIN is at or below JM1FE173*****150745 then visually inspect the starter placard. If the placard indicates N3H1 replace the starter. If the placard indicates N3H1 A or later you have the upgraded starter."
Early cars came with a Panasonic battery that was upgraded to an Interstate, so that's another way to know (unless the original owner just happened to get an Interstate). The starter placard is on the driver's side of the unit. You may have to jack up the vehicle to read it (use a jack stand).

Yeah i remember all that, but i upgraded the battery to a duralast gold. so thats not it, since it's less than a year old. but yeah i'll check the starter, it's my last option...before i find myself a nice high cliff....lol.
