well i was in my friends rx8 with the greddy turbo kit on stock boost. he is using greddy tt exhaust and stock cat.

we were on the hi way doing some hi way pulls and we see a big flame lit up the car along with a loud back fire.. think nothing of it because the car pop and shots flames all the time..

do a spirited pull to 110 ish and hear a wired rattling noise and the car felt down on power along with a wired vibration.. the check engine light flashes as well..

so we exit off the hi way and the car shuts off. it makes a wired vibrating lumpy sound and it doest want to move. we give it gass and the car doesn want to go. the vibration is coming form around the cat area.

i think he blew out the cat and its getting in the way of letting the exhasut out causing exissive back pressure therefore not letting the car move. make it hard to drive.

can these symptoms be another problem? maybe motor related. the oil pressure and temp gauge are reading fine.

also, why hasn't he made a video of the evo TT exhaust? We need a video.

 

the idle is stable. and seems fine it just seems shakey down low.

as for the video hes doesn't really go on forums that why i posted for him.. ill try and convince him to

 

Gut the cat or replace it.

 

I have a feeling it is still on stock map.

and most of us know how wonderful stock maps are.
