This is a little weird...for a few days now, if I put any kind of pressure around the cupholder/gearbox/heated seat button area the plastic just creaks. It's like there's potato chips under the plastic.


Kinda annoying...would something like this be covered under warranty?

 

Should be covered under warranty but make sure dealer has good worksmanship before dismantling. Same thing happens with my window button panel, I tried grease but doesn't help... maybe double sided tapes will help if you plan to do it yourself.

 

u mean ur armrest cracking? Sheit so did mine, and it sorta has defected closing and opening now.. I pressed my elbow on it lil to hard, trying to get somthing from the backseat, and i heard a crack. Now I have to close it by pressing on the button. Is that really covered under warranty? I bought the Console Pat, u know the one with Rotary emblem on top? I thought the Dealer be bitchy about the Pad having to do with the Console braking, so i haven't mentioned to them about it.

 

No cracking, just noise, not particularly from the arm rest but around the gearbox instead.

 

Well, mine started with the noise, I meant cracking noise, not exactly cracking. but in the armrest.

 

I had a similar experience with my armrest. I leaned on it a little too hard grabbing something out of the passenger seat and I damaged the clip on the front of the armrest. It would sit even or engage anymore.
I brought it into the dealer asking for a part number for the clip and they ended up ordering an entire new arm rest cover and covered it all under warranty. It was a nice surprise.

 

So they covered it under warranty. good thing to know. I'll go to the dealers on the weekends, ask them to replace them. What did u tell em? it just broke?

 

I told them it broke and I wondered if it was covered under warranty. They had the service manager come take a quick look and they said they would order the part. I thought they were talking about the clip, but the ordered the entire armrest cover.
