cigarette lighter
Does anyone know how to make one of the cigarette lighter sockets available even when the car is off. I like to use it sometimes to charge my phone when I'm in the house or at a client site.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Rooster

Hmmm.
I must have been hallucenating (sp?)
Just checked and I was wrong, I guess I allways start my car first thing (to let it warm up) while getting adjusted, so it allways Seemed to be on.
Should be easy to rewire, but I don't have a wiring diagram to find the most convenient way.

You can get to the wires under there no problem.
I wired in my wideband O2 computer there, but I prefer it to off with the car off. (will rewire later, cause there is a bit of voltage drop at the cig 12v+)
You could just cut the wire (tape the unused lead well), and tap a length of wire to the fuse box.
Get a voltmeter or a test light, should be a simple job.
