Cleaner for Mazdaspeed CAI dry filter

Hi Gang,
Have an off-the-wall maintenance question for those using a dry filter based CAI such as MazdaSpeed or similar. Where did you find a replacement for the cleaning fluid that originally came with the CAI kit?

I have done extensive searching (both this forum and general internet as well as specific sites such as Amazon and eBay) and have only come up with one possibility (other than giving the parts dept at a stealership more hard earned cash than should be necessary). It is a site I have never heard of previously: http://mazdagear.com/mazdaspeed-cold...aning-kit.aspx.

Since I have never heard of this outfit before, natural suspicion kicks in about doing busines with them sight unseen.

FYI - the Mazda part number for this cleaning fluid is GRMS-8M-Z99 (if I am not mistaken)

Thanks in advance for any helpful tips!!!

This is what AEM recommends and they are the ones that make the MazdaSpeed intake

I bought something similar through RacingBeat. Also k&N brand cleaner. You have to call them though as I never saw it listed on their site. I think it was about 12 bucks.

spraywasher with water, or dish washer soap solution in a 5 gal bucket, let it sit, spin the filter, rinse, redo. dont let water go in where you connect the filter to the piping. did mine and it came out great after 4 rinses

most filters that come with aftermarket intake are washable except a few (HKS yada yada...) just soap and water will do but if you really want it clean use the K & N Recharge kit.

recharge kit comes with oil, these dry flow filter (AEM mostly) don't need them.

I think I have 2 bottles of the cleaning solution collecting dust. its for Mazdaspeed. if interested (or anybody) pm me.

lukewarm water with soap, leave it submerged, accomplishes same task.

Be sure to use the sock pre-filter with the MS dry filter. It extends the time between washes significantly.

anybody know what size AEM air filter will fit the Mazdaspeed cold air intake? I don't feel like jacking up the car and crawling under to see the dimensions of the air filter.
