clunky shifting

so i bought my 8 bout 2 or three monthes ago from a dealer. its used with about 48k miles. just recently i have noticed some very clunky shifting. is there something wrong with my transmission or did the dealer just not think to clean and replace the mt fluid. it feels like there is no lubrication, it just feels like it rubs on absolutely everything

I would replace the fluids ASAP to see if that helps.

Redline is good stuff

there are Do It Yourself threads on how to do this or you can have a local shop do it. Probably not very cost effective to have the dealership do the work...
(plus they won't like the "aftermarket" fluids)

This is one of the most simple things to do to your car. Don't over fill it!

Use the proper equipment to be safe.

lol they wouldn't do it unless someone paid them to do it. haha it's maintenance work.

get some redline and get it done. if it doesn't solve your problem then it may be the gears itself...
