Clutch Pedal... FEY5-41-30X or FE05-41-300D?
They look identical other than then fact that the latter is twice as much and says Aluminum pad. the cheaper one look likes it has an aluminum pad too.
My clutch pedal died because of the service bulletin issue and I'm a year past the extended warranty. I need to get the pedal on order so I can replace it.
Thanks!!

Hello and Welcome to the club..
It is one of those 'quirky' things Mazda does sometimes, they get their pricing structures wrong, as basically the FEY5-41-30X is a 'Kit' with Clutch Cut Switches included and technically was for Dealer replacement under Mazda warranty, it is not listed in Mazda's EPC (Electronic Part Catalog), they basically costed it @ a Dealer Warranty price.
So THIS FEY5-41-30X is the one to go for as it is cheaper and includes switches and is Aluminum
Pad...the steel Clutch Pedal part inside plastic bag (with switches) is still the FE05-41-300C.
Now the more expensive FE05-41-300D supersedes back-wards to the FE05-41-300C anyway, so if you want to save $$ go for the FEY5-41-30X.

Aluminum pedals with quality one's are not so cheaper as you describing it. As this is rule "Quality don't come with cheaper things". So, keep this factor in mind and then search the your desired pedal. As Mazda's products can be found easily and with quality also.

/\ IF you are referring to my post, then you are incorrect, the two parts are identical OEM Mazda RX-8 Parts..
One includes the normally extra Clutch Switches (with cheaper kit), and one does not (the more expensive, with no Switches included).
The fixed ALUMINUM PEDAL PAD to the Steel Pedal frame are identical for both....that is the part that actually bends and breaks.
So for LH Drive RX-8, if you want to save $$'s buy the FEY5-41-30X and save yourself $40 USD.
