clutch pedal frame
I have no idea what it is called but my clutch pedal frame that mounts to the firewall is broken. Making it almost impossible to change gears. Where do I find a new one and what is it called?

Never fear, Jedi is here!
There are several threads on this issue already so let me do a quick search and see if I can point you in the right direction.

Here is the main thread on the issue that describes the problem and also has a link on how to report this to the NHTSA.
PLEASE take the time to report the issue as there is currently an open investigation by them on this inexcusable problem.

As for possible repairs:
1. Are you under warranty? IF so, have the car towed to the dealership and have it replaced
2. If you're out of warranty and are mechanically inclined (or can follow simple directions) just remove the pedal and take it to a local welder. They might be able to reweld the broken welds and you can re-install
3. If neither of those works, send a Private Message to Charles R. Hill. He has brand new ones with re-enforced welding that he can send you.

It is a 2004 with 62000 miles. I have an extended warranty but dont think it covers it. My warrranty is a 3 star with GE. It covers ENGINE, Transmission, transaxle, and transfer case, and drive axle. It also covers power tech and electronics. My clutch pedal frame is broken. I also have a tail light out bc it is filled with water. Dont think that is covered either but not sure. I will call the warranty place on Monday and have a local welder coming by to look at the clutch frame in the morning. It sucks that this stuff happens on the weekends. Holiday weekends at that. Great way to start the new year. lol. But if not for bad luck I wouldn't have ne luck at all. lol

The failed clutch pedal frame is, as you've now read, a latent defect. Since it's already cracked your cheapest route is to have it welded. Alternatively you could have it replaced with a new unit reinforced with better welds from BHR, and/or the Racing Roots reinforcing bracket.
Unfortunately breaks such as these are viewed as "wear and tear" items and therefore probably not covered, but you may have a better extended warranty so worth a call.
Do report the incident in the hopes of a general safety recall.
The water in tailight is also a latent defect. Mazda used to replace the tailight under a TSB but I believe now just replace the gasket. I've had both tailights replaced under warranty and they've been watertight since.
