Clutch Pedal Inspection

Clutch Pedal Inspection
Just took my LY '04 R-Sex-8 to the dealership for Oil change and 25K (yup that's right, 25K) service.
They did mention the clutch pedal inspection thing and performed the check. Of course they said it was in perfect shape, no cracking, etc.
So my question is this...are they gonna inspect it with each service call, or am I now screwed until the thing actually snaps? And if it now has to snap to get replaced, will it still be repaired under warranty whenever it happens?
Just curious. Had a similar issue with side window rails on my '02 Jetta. They checked, nothing was wrong and they wouldn't do anything until the window fell into the door. I was amazed that they had this known recall that was affecting pretty much 100% of all '02 jettas, yet they still had to wait until the window fell to fix it, adding the cost of glass to the cost of the rail. At least once it did fall, they covered it.
Thanks.
