There appears to be a problem with the italics and bold selections when you post. See if you can correct that next time.

So, you hear some grinding noise when you push the clutch pedal in. Have you checked to see if the clutch pedal broke? Common problem, and covered under a 100,000 mile warranty from Mazda (just the pedal). If not, then it's likely a bearing issue. The clutch itself is disengaged when you push the pedal in. So if there is only grinding when the clutch is disengaged, it's not going to be a clutch wear or flywheel resurfacing issue. If it's a bearing, it's likely the throwout bearing, which is used in the disengaging process.

It's also possible that it's the transmission, not the clutch, but we would need more accurate information from you.

Side-to-side flex is the most common break, though there are several. Depends on exactly how the pedal assembly welds fail. If you get down there and grab it with your hand, you shouldn't be able to appreciably flex it side to side at any point in the range of normal motion, and the motion as it's being pushed in should be completely linear. If it twists or curves, it's broken.

thanks alot for the help!!! i will do this in about 2 hrs when im off work!

also would this cause the grinding noise when the pedal is being pushed all the way in....prior to this happening the clutch was really stiff and was gritty feeling when i would push the pedal in...could this have been an upcoming sign of breakage, and or clutch failing?

Is the grinding from the motion of the pedal itself? Or it just becomes heard once the pedal is all the way in? You aren't really clear about that. The specifics of what happens when are important clues.

when i push in the clutch, even just a little, it is stiff all the way down, and when i reach the point of where the clutch is pushed all the way in so i can shift through gears, is when the grinding and slight vibration in the pedal occurs... it sound terrible... and made it hard to put into gear...

You said "made it hard", A) is it easier if you back off the pedal a bit? Or B) do you mean "it doesn't get easier"?

If it's A, it's likely the pedal. If B, then it's likely your throwout bearing.

its hard both ways, in and out... would the throwout bearing cause the grinding, or were you just referring to the stiffness?

Maybe I can explain it a different way, because the terms you are using are ambiguous.

You stated: "where the clutch is pushed all the way in so i can shift through gears, [...] and made it hard to put into gear"

Well, before the clutch pedal is the whole way in, you CAN'T put it into gear (unless you are rev matching, but I'm assuming that isn't the case here).

The words "made it hard" imply that it was easier before that point. I'm trying to figure out where it is easy to put it in gear, or if you mean "harder than it should be"
