Coils & spark plugs

Howdy all. I've revelry found out that the coils have gone on my car as well as the spark plugs. Now I've been reading online this is a pretty common fault with rx8s around 30k miles.

Was curious to if any1 knows what the warranty is for these in the uk?

Also do they deteriorate over time or is it just one of these things that can suddenly die?

Was wondering cause I got a full service and mot done on the 17th of august and I was supplied with no advisory notice even tho on the mot certificate it said there should be. Was wondering if this was the garage I bought the car from at the time trying to hide faults with it.

Cheers
James

Coils and plugs are consumable products for the 8. They wear out or just die, I change my plugs every year.

04? been parked since the original guy bought the car?

replace the coils at least. 04 original coils are total junk.

might as well spark plugs.

get the latest recall from Mazda dealership

you're set.

You do know that electronics stuff can just "die" right? its not a living being you know.

Just get new coils and plugs, replace them. thats all

I replace my coils every 15-20K miles, and plugs maybe 15K, simply because I want my car to stay @ top performance all the time.
