depends what you consider the "dark side"..
yes it is a Honda, but that is personal taste.
still a sports car, still is gorgeous, still has that sublime handling, still loves to be revved, very rare to see one on the road.. but in addition to that... more reliable, quicker then the 8 in raw hp/tq but also LIGHTER, much better mpg, cheaper to mod (already looking at the SC), true 2 seater, convertible.. to name a few.

Nah, I absolutely LOVE the RX8.. but life is too short.. I enjoyed it.. so time to move on.
As I have been saying I really think things couldn't have worked out better.
In 2-3 months I will be buying my next car, cash. No loans.
And yes you were right.. it will probably be an S2000.

TB was ordered for a few minor reasons, nothing noticeable to the average person while driving, just some odd data i recorded while testdriving the new motor which signals that it may eventually completely, luckily I caught it early.

People like Kevin (Teknics) are the reason I always suggest: Do your homework in finding a good dealership (Or Mazda specific shop) and get to know the people. If you don't then you need to take some blame in the event of problems where you aren't treated properly (In your perception or otherwise). Some people just care about the work and some people care about people as well but human nature causes us to put a little extra time and effort for people we can identify with.
In short, Kevin, you're the man!

I pride myself on personal relationships with my customers, I may not always have time to talk while at the shop but I regularly have email chains going with people, even if i havent seen their cars in months.
There are other tech's out there like me, I just wish they'd make themselves more visible and more approachable then they apparently are.
I definitely agree about doing dealership homework. I always try to explain to people that just because two different buildings both say Mazda on the outside doesn't mean they are the same. Each is it's own business with it's own style and rules.
Thanks again for the comments, I'm just glad I can make some sort of a difference with peoples cars and their perceptions of us lowly grimy ripoff know-nothing-about-rotary dealer techs

Got my CAR BACK ! w00t ! (Home now)
My car is almost out of bumper to bumper warranty, so Kevin spent a lot of time on my car just to be sure that things will work right down the road , New Engine, New Throttle Body, oil filter, some nuts, both taillights, parking brake lever and 5w-20 oil ... LOL ! Its breaking in now so Im gonna keep those in there for 500 miles, then I will swap them with some 20w50
Hope u guys enjoy the donuts, its from Donut Plant NYC , speaking of that, The Square ones tastes better imo, its cream filled. I think I got 4 kinds of Glazed Donuts (5 each, the bigger kind), 3 kinds of cream filled (5 each, square ones), and Bunch of other regular ones (4-5 favors), total should be 50. wow you guys grab it mad fast, I saw one of the tech, the moment Anthony took them in, he walked out with one in his mouth rofl hahaha
Again, Thank you Kevin for doing all the hard work
