Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum!
Please add location to your profile.
Since you bought it with some miles you should check a few things.
Get compression measured.
Make sure that the recalls have been addressed.
You may run into the coil failure issue soon so plugs, coils and wires should be inspected soon. Don't worry. They're relatively cheap if you buy from the forum vendors and install them yourself. check the DIY section.
Make sure you change the oil on schedule and check the level every couple of fill-ups.
Last, make sure you rev the engine regularly with excursions to redline at least once per drive (once the engine is warm).
Once you're hooked on the car none of this will seem like an issue.
Read the stickies at the top of each forum.
Use the search feature before you post a newbie question so you don't get flamed.
Let the mods begin!

Even tho you might be an expert in everything and never look at manuals, still, look at it for once. I know yeah its boring yada yada yada all the time but u might be able to find some useful info in there ...

I would suggest you use a 5-30 oil rather than the 5-20, plus if you want, might not be a bad idea to pre-mix. happy motoring and welcome!

best thing you can do: make careful shifts

then make sure all the oils are changed regularly: tranny, diff, engine...

Thanx fella's for the info. I'm glad to hear that i should redline the car! I had a celica gts and that thing couldn't take the 9000 rmps it blew up twice. I read all the bad threads about this car but it didn't scare me off. The car turns and burns the mustangs, let alone the feeling you get railing a curve on a pennsylvanian country road. I have kept the owners manual by the john for 3 weeks now lol so i pretty much know that thing.
