confused, clutch person
I have read read for last hour post and thread after thread about clutch problems and am confused. My clutch went out at 98k, had it at the a shop and they replaced everything, the bearing, wheel etc. when the car idols it sounds like a loud spinning or rubbing. I took it back and they say it's normal. It didn't do it before. I need good info to go back with so i can tell them what they r missing ir should i take it somewhere else?

Need more details, replaced with OE or aftermarket. Did they just replace clutch disk? Pressure plate? Resurface or replace flywheel?
From the vague description sounds like the reused your through-out bearing, which is a $5 part that should always be replaced.

no it's not normal.
it will need to come back out to inspect all the parts that could make a rubbing noise inside the bellhousing. it could be the throwout bearing, some debris that wasn't cleaned out or a clutch that doesn't fit properly(among other things).
you should take it to another shop for a second opinion. if it does need to come apart then i would contact the original shop that did the work and tell them the second shop's opinion. if they still wash their hands of it then have shop #2 do the repairs, if it winds up being faulty repairs(read as not parts) file a small claims suit against shop #1 for the amount that shop #2 charged(minus parts, if it's a warranty issue on parts have the original shop warranty it otherwise stick them with the parts cost in the suit if they will not help you).
shops love this sort of work, it gives them the opportunity to earn a new customer. unfortunately you have to pay to fix it still. a customer is more prone to give positive feedback after a bad experience with another shop than just doing the repairs initially.

it sounds to me like you may be hearing the input shaft whirring loudly, which these transmissions are notorious for doing especially with mileage as everything gets loosey goosey
it's hard to diagnose over the internet, people don't have the same interpretation on sounds or their explanation via text
you might take it somewhere else for 2nd opinion without actually explaining how you got to this point, just something like my car is making this noise and I'm not sure if something is wrong, and then you can go into the details after they give you their opinion
