Ignore it. Nothing is going to be better than standard green coolant or OEM FL22 in your OEM cooling system.

Of course pure distilled water is going to be better.... for a racecar that doens't see winters...

This is a n00b looking for help, the best course of action is to put them down the safest path. Going with the OEM coolant IS that safest course of action.

How about next time, you offer a mature, conscientious and helpful post instead of this immature useless dribble you've been spewing lately? You're no better than Team.. however at least we all know he's actually knowledgeable behind his facade.

uhh huh, Expert. OEM coolant is the safest? which one are we talking about ? Even Mazda alone has 3 or 4 kinds of "oEM" coolant

and hey, I wasn't even talking about pure distilled water genius ...

and FL22 is worst than a lot of coolant out there ... put it this way, it's a "if u know nothing, stick with FL22"

wait ... I know nothing... but I'm sure I know better than YOU.

I've been using Evans NPG-R since 2006. Generally don't recommend it for street cars though, only because getting your coolant clear of water is a chore.

I'm interested to know what your direct experience with this is? Or are you just parroting something you read on teh intrawebs?

OP, just replace your coolant with the OEM recommended type and ignore the forum clowns. Yes, one of them knows his stuff but for your application it clear you only need the OEM type. Have fun! Not all of us are asshats.

As for OP, OEM stuff works for most, but if u just gonna pay some overpriced crap like FL22, might as well get some Peak Global coolant. it does not eat seals like most regular green coolant that some GENIUS EXPERT in post #2 suggested and it does not cost an arm n leg like FL22.

I like how people just call ppl asshat when he is the one who doesn't know ****.

And make sure you use a concentration that will protect against freezing down to the historic lowest temperature for where you live. Some of those who prefer water over glycol tend to recommend diluted mixtures. I remember a thread a few years ago where one member was proud of using a mix that was good to 0 F, even though he lived in a region where temps drop to 10 or 20 below every few years.

If you really want to use a non-glycol coolant, search the forum for the Evans that Team mentions. I have zero experience with it, but there are some threads with experience and advice from guys who know what they're doing.

to do a proper Evans swap, its gonna cost couple hundred bux JUST the Evans alone, does not include the cheap stuff u need to use to get rid of all traces of H2O in the system.

and you ALWAYS have to keep a bottle of Evans in your trunk cuz you can't fill water into the system, it's really costly and pita for a street car to use. It does have superior heat transfer but only if you have great cooling system.

Get Global Peak 50/50, you be fine. FL22 is overpriced stuff that has lower cooling capacity than Global Peak 50/50

FL-22 is 55/45, which technically gives it less cooling capacity than 50/50 mixes, but protection down to a lower temperature. Could make a difference if you find yourself in Montana some February.

All of the pre-diluted coolants are overpriced compared to buying straight glycol and mixing with your own water.

well, I have been doing my own mix for the past few years, PLAYED with different mixture to see how it effects the system's cooling

Parents said I pour money down the drain and my father was like why u drain ur coolant couple times a year? LOL

, Ahh ****, I mean err I dunno anything ...
