Q) What do you do if your radiator isn't doing the trick?
A) Put in a second one.
That is an 11"x11" tranny cooler, plumbed inline with the overflow outlet, cooled with a 7" fan and ducted to the front.
It works.

Seriously --hope this helps you. I do see a vented hood in the very near future?
Pretty good sheetmetal work.
Surprised- you dont have the water methanol injection yet.
Hint---look at diesal truck radiators and fan assembys( over 6K cfm flow!) --they may have something you can use.

Rotary motors don't have a head! lol.

Yes I do. Its just a crafty installation. Most of the hardware is in the trunk.
The fan I have under the new sub-rad is pushing about 1600 CFM. I didn't want something that pulled more than 7A.

MM said it works for him in the Overheating thread.
I think we might need a *faster or better fin* fan than the one we have? cuz its mostly the big fan thats cooling things down, and we all know that fan's air flow isnt that great (like what? 1200 cfm ?), I think its to keep the noise to a minimum, but I think I want to keep my motor cool

did you just changed the motors or You *replaced* the whole thing with something else ?
It might not help the Koyo rad(cuz the design suck), but I think more air is better than less air

Provided you have adequate flow to the rads to begin with.
Having a big, honking intercooler in the way pretty much stops natural airflow in my application.
Remind me to grab an actuator or two off of a 177 RG next time I'm at the airstrip.

This is from a guy (me ...) with a year of experience with Koyo Radiator.
It's even WORST than stock ! Constant overheating on Turbo/Super charged applications. Even in NA Application like me, Im experiencing *higher than normal* summer water temp (search for my recent post)

I say go with the BHR radiator. We've seen good reviews and it's got THE BEST warranty out there.

I can see the long line of people looking to put a second rad in their car and relocate the battery and fab up a shroud out of sheet metal.
Installing a p-n-p device like the AccessPORT is too difficult for most folks. I don't think many will be opting for a project of this magnitude.

even so, you know we'll be forming lines and priority listsing soon for this, whether we can/would actually do it or not, lol

My turbo doesn't heat the air nearly as much as the Pettit SC (if at all - my IATs are nearly ambient under all conditions), so I don't need such a radical IC.
At this rate, I am going to have to retire from retirement!

But I agree with you, theres a bit of aesthetics that originally bothered me...I got over it when I saw the end result when you do it right...that and you can always graft on your own vents, or sheet metal for ducting purposes...
