Corner Markers from scratch

I bought my 8 with a full abflug aero kit existing on it, and would prefer to change the body up a bit. Problem is, the abflug doesn't come with side marker cutouts, so the prior owner just cut the wires that would lead to the markers and called it a day. How would I go about completely replacing the light installations? I am an electronics tech by trade, mostly looking for the source of parts, but any info would be wonderful.

thin strip of leds? since you dont have the cutouts you're free to design your own.

I would take it to a legitimate auto-body shop or someplace that installs stereos and that type of stuff involving electronics - I'm sure they'll be able to make something work.

well, you could start with buying a pigtail bulb holder from almost anywhere that does electronics or automotive/lighting stuff. and then do what you want, make the OEM ones work, or make your own

you could try to find a wrecked 8 at a junk yard and take the side markers off of it and simply splice it to yours. or upgrade to an led system.

or whenever you switch kits simply fiberglass in where the sidemarkers should be. you can do this pretty easily yourself if you just put a long screw into your new kit where the side marker spot is and slowly add layers of fiberglass around it. Takes a lot of time but is relatively easy to do. Just make sure you use to much that way you can sand it down for a perfect look

no side markers = clean!
