CA Could I make this exhaust work?

I have an APEXi N1 dual cat-back from my s13 and it sounds very aggressive but now it is just sitting in my room. You guys think it would be possible to somehow make this thing fit my 8 with some custom piping?

you could try it but I don't think you'd like what a rotary sounds like through that thing.

How long is a piece of string?

Anything can be made to work (except for that header, hahaha).

How much do you have in your budget for fabrication?

I was guessing the exhaust shop would charge me about $100 bucks to repipe and flange it since they were going to make a full custom 2.5'' pipes from the cat for the s13.

This is what it sounds on a 240 btw with a 3'' cat. (the exhaust is full 3'' piping)

On a rotary, it will be LOUD.

With no muffler, and just the two resonators at the tips, it could also be very raspy.

You'd have to split the resonators, and perhaps angle them to fit out of the factory bumper exhaust openings. It would look really low (ricey) if you mounted them under the bumper and left the stock openings empty.

However, for $100, give'er....

This is kind-of what I was going for. I like deep and raspy, not the UFO sound that the stock car has.

From a previous S13 owner to another, its not going to sound anything like it did before. Have you seen the design of our exhaust? Not quite the same. Sell it and pick up a HKS hi-power if you like it loud.

I was just wondering cause I know some people make custom with magnaflow cans and such.

I was considering a HKS hi-power but not enough money for that particular pipe at the moment so I was checking to see if I could make this work for cheap (and hey I try to be original so who knows, maybe it could sound unique/good)

Its on Zilvia and craigslist right now though, but if I don't sell it I'll just end up reflanging the pipes on the s13 and bolt it up (idiot previous owner welded stock exhaust straight onto the cat)

It will be raspy, but it won't be deep. My guess would be ricey civic-ish.

I think you could get maybe 2-300 for the apex + about 100 more you'll be spending on fabrication you can get the HKS. Fluid Motorsports has them for about $480. GL
