damn, stipped nut...

Well last night I was installing rear racing beat springs and what a pita. The drivers side endlink was on there so tight, I stripped the bolt. I can't see what I did wrong, I used the correct size socket. Is there a way too get the nut off so I can save the endlink? Or should I just buy a new endlink and drill/cut it off? Any help would be great.

Thanks

Try taking of the sway bar; remove the clamps that hold it on.
It should give you enough clearance to take the shocks out....

Get a standard socket that is a little small. Hammer it on and break it lose.

You mean you rounded the head of the bolt or stripped the threads? If you just rounded the head, go to sears and get a tool that will grab the head regardless of size. I don't recall what they call it , but they will know.

EDIT: Craftsman 5-piece Add-on Bolt-out Set. Also includes removers ...fits standard sizes 5/16, 11/16, and 3/4 in. Fits metric sizes 8, 10, 13, and 19 mm. Item #0952161. Set=$19.99

They have other sets as well.
