Dead battery, eaten insulation, won't jump start...
Well, the 8 (bone stock) has been sitting outside for a week. I walked up and notice everything is dead in the car--dome lights won't come on, even the remote entry won't work. Under the hood, I see my driver's side wheel well sound deadening material has been chewed up--I cannot find any wires/anything else that has been damaged. I tried to jump start but all I get when the ignition is put in the "on" position is flashing hazards and a blaring horn (seems like the security system is going off). Car cranks but will not start (while the horn and lights are going off).
This car is completely stock and has had no issues like this before. How can I get it running again? Thanks for your help.

Turns out battery (from Wal-Mart) was bad. And, due to trying to jump start with a bad battery the engine flooded. FYI--you have to close the hood, doors, trunk and activate the security system from your remote (outside the car) to "zero" it after installing a new battery (if the previous one goes bad for more than a week).
