dealership and they want $6,000 to put in a new ecu. i want to do it by a different method so What do i need to replace my current one, to a ecu from another similar rx8? help..

I had that problem with my 8 once after they replaced my Engine, sometimes the car just won't start, no crank, nothing. Its like turning the key doesn't do anything. Tow the car back to dealership. Found out a row of pins on the Engine hardness is not fully inserted into the slot, *connect* and everything is fine. no extra cost.
