If you bought the car, it is yours. You are over 18 years old and are a legal adult. If they bought the car, they have every right to sell it.
Try to work it out with them. If that isn't possible, let it go. Harmony in the family is much more important than a car. You are young and your day will come.

fire works really well. Bottom of the ocean also works.

hmmmm, what else...

How about buying a v8 powered chainsaw and going crazy with it?

Just take off all 4 tires and leave the car on blocks.
That how my friend got punished for a month.
Kind of hard to sell a car on blocks, and they sure as hell arent gonna waste money to buy rims and tires for it.

get a lawyer to file a cease and desist order order on your behalf against your parents. try to get acourtdate set and then when they fight it let it get tangled in red tape. keep filing strange innocuous motions until they give up. the car cant be sold while your "fighting" the legal battle.

ummmmm, is there an easy way to get a CEL?
ADD a CEL to a young age driver...and hopefully most people would be very WARY of the deal.

Exactly, if it isn't yours...let it go. Whatever you did do isn't important; assuming you'll learn your lesson.

unplug the second O2 sensor for an easy CEL that won't hurt anything

if you don't think that's enough then intentionally flood it; you'll just have a bitch of a time getting it unflooded

LOL, I think this is the first post that I have ever read that was from someone actually wanting to find some way to make the RX8 not run. Well, like everyone said...flood it I guess. Or you could try talking to your parents. Maybe offer to get a job (if you don't have one) to help pay for it, the insurance, and the gas, etc. I don't know your situation, but usually parents will settle down from whatever it is that you did after a few days, a week, a month, or so. Oh...and say you are sorry, over and over and over and over again...that is, if you did something wrong that made them mad. Good luck and Gig 'Em!!!

Just drive it around for a week and something's bound to go wrong with it -- it's a rotary!!

Haha, I kid, I kid. You could try a 100 shot of NOS, but you might blow the welds on the intake manifold.

drive to northern canada, let the engine cool off, start it up, then shut it off immediately.

Sounds like you did something really stupid and as such probably deserve to have the car taken away. Further it sounds like your one of those spoiled brats that have been given a car you had no business owning. Daddy giveth, Daddy taketh away. Be a man and take your medicine.

Raptor does have a point. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn away a free car given to me by Daddy.. but coming on here and trying to pull something sneaky because you're in trouble is totally a bitch move. If the car was purchased by you, they have no right in selling it. But if that's not the case, maybe it's time you bought yourself a car.

Buy it yourself or through a friend. Don't be a jerk and mess with the car. Don't act like an entitled brat and sabotage it or a deal. The best things in life are the ones you EARNED yourself.

Please do something and hope your parents give it back to you at which point the car will completely die; then you'll hopefully re-learn your lesson again.

Sound like a child crying over their parents taking their baby toy away.
