Do i need the Recall if...

i just got an 04' winning blue rx8 with 5 k miles on it and was wondering if i needed the recall i've been hearing about?

'04.....

There have been 3 or 4 recalls for little items since 2004, if you just bought one, why would you NOT take it in?
