Angry Do not trust Mazda tire pump bar reading

I have triple checked my Mazda tire pump and found it to be 500 bar low. That is if I want to run my tires at the 2200 bar recomended by Mazda and on the tire, I have to put in 2700 bar to get 32 psi. Since tire pressure is crtical on these low profile tiers this may be causeing the tire problems on many forum members cars. Has anyone else found this to be true of their Mazda tire pump gage?

I noticedthis as wellthe firsttime I used it. The readings on their machine are always off and youusually have to pump an extra notch or 2 of air into the tires to be at the proper psi ifyou use their compressor. I dontlike how Mazdas gage doesnt show psi either soI always used a separate gage thatshows psi to checkthe air after I pump.

That pump is only there to pump up a tire in the event of a puncture (that is why it is in the puncture repair kit!). It was never intended as a tire gauge.

It's best to get a good tire pressure gauge. I have one that I purchased from Sporty's a long time ago; accurate and has a bleeder button that makes it easy to zero in on the exact pressure you want. They still sell them

Sporty's tire gauge

If that link doesn't work, just go to http://sportys.com/shoptool/ and search for Tire Pressure Gauge

Holy Thread resurrection !!!!!!

Official spec calls for 32 Psi, but I usually keep it at 32.5 or 33.

Wow this thread is back from when I used to have a busted keyboard with a malfunctioning space bar, and an automatic 8. Jesus
