But I don't think the shifter aligns with the RX-8 opening.

 

Are u aware how off the alignment is? I remember reading somewhere its 2inches smaller or longer j can't remember which..

before i proceed may i ask why you want to swap the trannys?

fd-5 speed (problems with 3 and 5 gear)

aisin- 6 speed (can't handle too much power)

the renny was desined to have a 6-speed tranny. if you want a stronger tranny, look at the 2nd gen tranny's

and how much of a strong tranny do you need when we only make around 130 tq lol

I was told the second gen tranny wouldnt bolt right up, I need something to hold the power, n when I get the tranny I plan to rebuild while its open. However thank you, I know its a difficult build but when u want power Its money. I blew my motor and am rebuilding and swaping to MT.

 

Mazsport isn't out of business because of expensive products.

 

there are quite a few people here with 300+ whp and use the aisin with no probs. try to look into that for now, like i said the 2nd gen tranny will be the best for power.

 

I would just like to know if the bolts to the engine would line up, I'm not sure of were to look this up?

 

On something like that,how you drive the car is a big part of it. There are plenty of people with 200whp that had to replace transmissions too.
