Does anyone have the full Mazda Sevice Dept deflooding procedure?
First, let me say I did search, or tried to the best of my ability. Unfortunately with a subject this common there tends to be a lot of clutter in the results and I could not find an answer to this particular question in the first 50 of the 313 threads that were returned with my query. I read the DIYs, and they're very informative, but they don't apply to my situation. I also read there's a deflood procedure in the owner's manual, but can't seem to find it in the index. So please don't flame me, I'm suffering from RWS as it is.
Onto the subject at hand, my RX is currently having work done at a body shop, and in the process of whatever they were doing they managed to flood my motor. They have contacted Mazda and are towing it there for repair (apparently they'll deflood for free once a year ). My question is what is involved the process of having the rotary engine deflooded at the dealer? I want to be able to verify that everything was done correctly and to spec in order to maintain my warrantee and the lifespan of my engine.
