does the front bumper from the 192hp model fit the 232hp model?

hi

i noticed a crack at the bottom of my front bumper just to the left above of the black V at the bottom.

i dunno how it happened, but it has, had not been reversed into or any road debris. i suppose i could glue it and touchup paint in the line, but when i bought the car there was a mark near the tow connection in the bumper, where the car must have been towed before.

basically i have seen an advert for a front bumper in good shape but it seems to be off the 5 speed model, ie no headlight washers.

are the bumpers the same for both 5 and 6 speed, and would the 5 speed bumper fit my 6 speed with some holes to allow the headlight washers to pop up?

its hard to get a winning blue and it may work out cheaper than fixing and repainting my current bumper.

thanks

I'd have to say "yes". I don't think there is anything body different in the two models.

I know i've seen a post about this very thing. If I remember correctly there is no difference other then having to cut holes for the headlight washers.

bumpers should be the same. Paul @ mazmart would know.
only problem would be drilling for those washers

04-08 are the same on all models. Except you have the headlight washers. There should be an outline on the underside of the bumper to show you where to cut out the area for the washers.

depends how the washers are mounted. if you can just cut a hole and put the old headlight washer equipment in there it would be easy enough.

thanks guys, now that you mention it, do the headlight washers mount to a frame
off the oil coolers. not sure but i thought they did, so would only be a matter of cutting the holes.

that shouldn't be too hard, if i mark them correctly etc.
i am gonna see if i can glue the crack and touch up the join, so may not need to put a new bumper on, i'll see if its worth while.

but thanks for all of your help!
