actually, before i started putting my a/c on recirc, i hated it. now i use recirc and the a/c is fine even on max cool with fan at speed '1'. i live in the texas desert and when we had 2 weeks of 110+ temps sometimes i would set it to '2' and i would be perfectly fine all the way home. i have an 05. hmm..

My problem is
My problem is adjusting the temp dial to a comforable level. As I said you have about three or four notches from the coldest setting till the air coming out is blazing hot. But at the coldest setting its ok. Comparing it to other cars and suv's (like my Tahoe which has a numbers dial) it seems to me to stink!!! Love it!!!

I think the white exterior of your car helps a lot. I've got the 'windshield sunshield thingie' that I put in when the car is parked, makes A HUGE difference too.

Well I tried the cold-line-insulation trick (1/2" pipe insulation wrapped in reflective aluminum duct tape--no need to mail order anything), and it didn't work.
I finally got around to taking my car back in. They replaced the AC amp for the second time on saturday, but that didn't do anything. So now they are going to do more in-depth tests on Monday, whatever that means.
