Driver Door Connector Help (w/ Pics)

So, I have a vertical door kit, and when they installed it, they spliced a bunch of wires from the connector below. They used crappy tapping connectors that dont work very well so I am going to embark on a adventure to solder them all together. Is this connector normally connected to the driver door? I need to make sure before I cut all the wires off of it, there is no longer a couterpart for this connector. Thanks guys!

I agree with you... those splice connectors aren't the best and soldering is you best bet.

Can't make out the wiring color from you pic, but it looks like X14 or X15 connector:

Here is where the connectors are located:

And this shows what the connectors are for (look for the X14 and X15 identifiers):

Hope this helps!

k, so what im getting from this is that this IS for the door, and there was a connector at some point, but since they cut them all the connector is no longer needed, so i can cut it off and solder the wires together. Thanks for the info!!

They tapped into the wires so the wire length could be extended (since the door is opening more).
The connector was left so you could revert back to the stock setup if desired.

So yes... you could cut and solder the wires.
If you do, I would leave enough wire on the connector side so you could solder them if you do go back to stock.
