Dtc p1688
Hey guys,
I'm sure this has been discussed many times, but hear me out.
Code P1688 Metering oil pump control circuit initial check problem
Got the silly engine light a few days ago randomly on a warm start, car went into limp mode, pulled over, turned it off for a bit, started it up again, engine light remained but limp mode disappeared. It was all okay cause I had the error erased until it kept frequently popping back up, and now my car's stuck in limp mode in the workshop (gay).
I've tried re-adjusting/re-calibrating the switch by loosening the two screws, turning it clockwise a bit, removing the battery (to reset the ECU, also easy way to access the switch), then starting the car up. Light still shows, repeated maybe 8 or 9 times and gave up since the engine was beginning to flood.
I was just wondering if there was anything I was doing wrong or just some basic advice on what I should do. I have SOME mechanical experience but my knowledge with rotaries is far from enough.
Thanks.

If you are getting a P1688 then you have/own a Series 1 2004-2008 RX-8, you have posted this in Series 2 Forums 2009-2011 (different set up)
This code does not apply to Series 2's..
You might get a quicker answer if you delete this thread and redo it in this sub forum.
