I've just bought a 2004 4port RX8 - it's my pride and joy!



My plan is to transfer the engine, the loom (part of it), the ECU (some of them) and the dash display to an old 323 station wagon. WHY? Because I want it to go, and not be a 10 year project like this has already been!!
and I didn't want to go down the route of aftermarket ecu at this stage - seeming I already have everything here.

So I need some advice. Ideally I love to delete the steering ecu, the pickup in the steering wheel, all the AC components, the ABS and possibly the emissions stuff, and still have a car that doesn't idle around on limp mode.

So my questions are:
1. Has this been done before?
2. Is this impossible?
3. What one of a million things have I not previously considered?
