Engine cleaning

Engine cleaning
Just looking for a little advise. I am interested in the engine cleaning procedure as per Bulletin No.: 09-26 for my R8. It seems to be running ok but has 78000kms on it now and the local Mazda dealer told me I should do this as a maintenance routine. I am first debating whether I should do this or not and also I am a Ford technician and we do a similar procedure with a BG product on piston engines and it seems to work really well. Has anyone had experience with BG and should I be doing this procedure? Thanks Rob

Personally I just drop seafoam into my gas tank and I can really feel the performance gain about every 3 months. I don't know what the other one offers over this.
I do want to take the car in for an injector cleaning soon. I did that on my rx7 before I sold it and felt like I regained about 20hp instantly.

BG44 is pretty good stuff, I throw a can of it in the gas tank every 10-15k to try and keep the injectors clean.
I've done the Engine Decarb procedure per mazdas instructions and it works well. (it's a 2 man job) Recently I injected Seafoam instead of the Zoom-Zoom cleaner and you get quite the smoke display but people swear by it so I'm hoping it did a good job of removing some of that carbon build up.
