engine cover

do you need to keep it on? plus will it go back on after mazda speed strut bar is on?

It's up to you if you keep it on or what not and when you install the MS strut ur gonna have to modify the cover a bit cuz it wont fit over the strut.

Somone here posted a pic of the MS strut with the modified cover. Can't remember now who it was but if ya do a search you should be able to find it.

will it hurt the hood with it off because of heat

Supposed to help engine cooling, but I haven't had mine on for 4,000 miles, & car works fine.

Yeah ... it maintains a tunnel effect to aid in moving air through the engine compartment ... but is it necessary? ... not if you have no interest in helping tunnel hot air out of the engine bay.
