Engine stall help
I am stationed over in Italy, and I just had my 04 repainted. I told the guy at the shop not to start/stop suddenly due to the rotary "flooding" issues. Apparently, the message was lost in translation, because that is exactly what one of his coworkers did. So, they flooded the engine. They removed the spark plugs and got it to start. Everything seemd fine (according to them) I picked up the car today to drive home. No probs the first 10 miles. After that, every time I stopped, the car would stall. Is there follow on maintenance that must be accomplished now, i.e. new plugs etc? I'm hoping that the problem will go away, but not holding my breathe. Your advice is much appreciated.

I'm thinking you're going to need some new plugs.
Also, have you replaced your OEM coils yet? Our cars are notoriously weak in the ignition department.
Stock OEM Coils last about 20k-30k miles on average. I'm at 38k miles and I've been exhibiting some rough idles, loss of power at 7000 rpm and above, and an occasional CEL for a misfire.
If you can afford it, I would recommend going with a better solution like the BHR Ignition Kit. Charles has shipped products into international areas before so you might want to ask him. Basically, this is reason why I chose their kit:
- Yukon Coils - These GM coils have been relatively well-known in the racing circles. They're built to last, the replacement parts are cheap, and they provide a superior spark.
- MSD Custom-Length Spark Plugs Wires - The stock OEM wires won't work with the Yukon/LS2 Coils. This is a great plug wire with a lot of resistance against heat and electromagnetic interference.
- Plug and Play Harness with a great looking mounting bracket - This is what makes their kit a bit more expensive than making your own. However, I plan on going turbo in the future possibly - their kits fit very well with the major turbo kits out there for this car.
Get some new plugs and the BHR ignition kit, clear your codes (NVRAM and KVRAM delete), and enjoy a stall-free, problem-free car!

Since the plugs are what they messed with I would start there.
Also check the plug wires and make sure they are fully inserted onto the spark plugs.
Did you receive any CEL codes?
You mean NVRAM and KAM
NVRAM = Non Volatile Random Access Memory
KAM = Keep Alive Memory

Stalling in Italy
I am going to pull the plugs and clean them tonight. I have about 30K on the car, so I went ahead and ordered new plugs and coils. Just waiting on about 2 weeks shipping. Oh yeah, no codes either. Hopefully the plugs and coils will cure my problem. I will keep you informed. Thank you for the replies.
